LOUISVILLE STORY PROGRAM

I had the honor to design the cover of Louisville Story Program’s latest publication.

No Single Sparrow Makes a Summer

In narratives rooted in six countries, nine young women document cultural and geographic communities of South Louisville from the inside, exploring topics such as the refugee experience, juvenile detention, motherhood, misperceptions of their neighborhoods, and more.

SECONDARY GROWTH/ VIDEO PRODUCTION

SIMULTANEOUS PORTRAITS

Simultaneous Portraits is a video glimpse of the process Julie Leidner used to create portraits with her students. Leidner also came up with an interactive way of painting that allowed her and her students to co-create works. The pieces attempt to show how a teacher views her students’ work, and also suggests how students experience the artistic output of their teachers.

This video was made for the ‘Secondary Growth’ exhibit at Lenihan Sotheby. The show’s theme is a reflection on teaching art.

NOT FOR PROFIT

2017

The Charleston County School of the Arts English I animation project was made possible through Donors Choose. This project is a proud collaboration between artist Kathleen Lolley, the CCSD Digital Learning Cohort (coaches Lacy Bryant and Kendra Murphy), ELA teacher Alea McKinley, and her amazing ninth grade students. Students created the stop-motion animation.
